Jill Swersie has painted professionally for twenty-five years. Her work has been showcased in New York City, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Since 1993 she's been teaching oil painting to senior citizens at the Dunmore Senior Center in Pennsylvania and she also provides classes for children and young adults at her home art studio.

Her style of oil painting ranges from impressionism to realism. Her subjects include landscapes, still-lifes, animals, and people. Most popular are her Whimsical People & Animal Paintings.

On occasion, Jill is commissioned to create a mural like the one below. This is a 9-foot long by 5-foot high painting. The man for whom this was created delivered a 9' x 5' piece of drywall (mounted on plywood) to Jill's home studio. She was given a photograph of a location sentimental to his wife and her late-father. He was having Jill do the mural as a gift to his wife and will mount it to a wall in their home.
